Come and see if clay and the wheel could be your new jam!!! Short 3 class Introductory for beginners is the perfect way to find out. With my 30 years of experience on the wheel and teaching, you will learn the correct fundamentals techniques for all thing s throwing, and It's all about looking after your body. I was once told many years ago if it is hurting you then you are doing it wrong. So come and play and be not surprised by not only by what you make, but also the thereputic benefits of working with clay. Quick tour to know how the studio runs, setting up, tools needed for the wheel. how to knead your clay, followed by a short detailed broken down demonstration by me on the wheel. One of the most challenging aspects of learning the wheel is that you have to learn all of it in one go and it's a lot to remember. Only way to get better is to repeat and repeat and......... you get the picture. And that's what we do for the next 2 weeks. In week 3 we covering turning your vessel and different surface treatments to decorate your fabulous creations. There is no glazing aspect to this class. If you do want to learn more about glazing best to book into a longer class. As we will be working with underglazes to decorate, I will then be glazing your pots in a clear gloss glaze. Everything is included in the cost. We only work with Stoneware clay and your pots will be dishwasher and microwave safe and the glaze is food safe. Total Cost $240 (gst include) Simply book in to secure your spot. Doors will be open 15 minutes prior to class starting. (Please be sure or your booking and that you are able to make all the classes as there are no make up classes and there are no refunds or credits. Thanks.

Please be sure of your booking as our policy is no refunds and no credits. If your miss a class the only time to make this up will be on Saturday mornings at an extra cost.
