Service Description

For a very relaxing Sunday morning session of playing with clay and forgetting about the world for a few hours, over the first 2 weeks, I will teach you the fundamental techniques of hand building in order to make small/medium vessels, vases and salt pigs using pinch pots and a selection of small dishes and spoons as well as jewellery/soap dishes, using a slab of clay. We will cover a little bit of surface treatment for those who wish to work with underglazes or those who like to carve. Week 3 we glaze. All clay and glazes and firing are Stoneware, which means very functional and can go in the dishwasher, microwave, oven and air fryer if it is made thick enough and with the right clay.
