There is a little bit of a challenge in this workshop. What we need to make first is a slab of clay that is nice and even and then we will cut out our Ocean inspired design, thinking dolphin, maybe octopus or maybe it's time to tackle a shark as my son loves to free dive with them. We will manipulate our sea creatures by twisting and turning to make hooks that things can hang on once attached to the wall. So get your diving gear on we are going to the ocean. Your pottery needs to completely dry out before they are placed in the kiln for its first firing, joining pots together can take a little longer than most, needs to be slowly dried so there are no cracks where it is joined, I then apply glaze and fire it again, so can take anywhere up to 3 to 4 weeks before it is ready to go home.
