I love throwing on the wheel and absolutely love teaching people how to do it. So in 4 days this is what we cover. Day 1. Handbuilding, because it's easy to learn and we make something fabulous on the first day. Means your still in the honeymoon faze when you come back to do the wheel the next day, it is just a little bit harder, don't worry I'm a really good patient teacher. Day 2. Quick tour of studio, OHS rules, tools need for the wheel and how to kneed your clay. How we learn the wheel is I break down all the steps after I have given a quick demo and give you all some one on one to get your body and hands in the right position. We aim for 2 pots on the first day. Day3. You get straight on the wheel and get to throw again. Day 4. Turning/trimming your pots and surface decoration. You get to keep all the pots you have made. Once the pots have been through the bisque firing I will then glaze them in a beautiful Walkers Oatmeal creamy warm white gloss glaze. If you would like to come back and choose your own glazes from the huge selection of Mayco and Walkers glazes we will discuss this on the last day. So come and play with the clay and you will be surprised by what you make with me. $330 (gst inc) Please be sure of your booking as there are no refunds or make up classes.
