This Hand Building Workshop is more than just playing with the clay, it's about connecting with fellow human beings in fun, chilled safe space where you can be yourself and let your creativity blossom. There are a lot of lonely people out there looking to connect, so how about you do it while making something fabulous as you learn a new skill, we mingle over drinks and food and hopefully you will make a new friend. You get to arrive from 5.30pm onwards to have food and drinks. At 6pm to 8pm we start to play with the clay, working on slabs to make 2 platters, I have a huge selection of fun things to be pressed into the clay from lace, stencils, stamps even a rubber bath mat that gives a beautiful pattern that looks like rocks and much more. I will have to make you all have a break half way through to eat and drink more as once you get your hands in the clay you forget about everything. Best way to escape our minds and stop the continual dialogue in our heads. And you get to make something fabulous. The clay is stoneware and the glazes are food safe which means they are functional ware to be eaten off and they can go in the dishwasher, microwave and oven. Pottery needs to be completely dry before it is bisque fired I will then apply the glaze and its is fired again, so it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to be ready to pick up.
