Valentines is not always a great day for everyone, however, for me it's all about sharing the love, and yes clay is my love. So whether you are single, in a relationship of whatever demographic, everyone is welcome. This Hand Building Workshop is more than just playing with the clay, it's about connecting with fellow human beings in fun, chilled safe space where you can be yourself and let your creativity blossom. There are a lot of lonely people out there looking to connect, so how about you do it while making something fabulous as you learn a new skill, we mingle over drinks and food and hopefully you will make a new friend or bring your special friend if you have one. We start with a glass of White Peach & Ginger Prosecco and some yummy foods. Then it's all about learning how to make the perfect slabs to make small and large platters. I have a huge selection of fun things to be pressed into the clay from lace, stencils, stamps even a rubber bath mat that gives a beautiful pattern that looks like rocks and much more. I will have to make you all have a break half way through to eat and drink more as once you get your hands in the clay you forget about everything. Best way to escape our minds and stop the continual dialogue in our heads. And you get to make something fabulous. The clay is stoneware and the glazes are food safe which means they are functional ware to be eaten off and they can go in the dishwasher, microwave and oven. Pottery needs to be completely dry before it is bisque fired I will then apply the glaze and its is fired again, so it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to be ready to pick up.
