Unleash your creativity and learn the art of pottery with our 3-day wheel class at Simply D Ceramics. Over the course of 7.5 hours, over 3 days you’ll get hands-on experience creating beautiful ceramic pieces while learning essential wheel-throwing techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this class is perfect for all skill levels. Join us for a unique and creative experience. Get to know your tools and the rules. Quick tour to know how the studio runs, setting up, tools needed for the wheel. how to knead your clay, followed by a detailed broken down demonstration by me on the wheel. One of the most challenging aspects of learning the wheel is that you have to learn all of it in one go and it's a lot to remember. Only way to get better is to repeat and repeat and......... you get the picture. And that's what we do for the next 4 weeks, while also covering turning your vessel, different surface treatments to decorate your fabulous creations. There is no glazing class, once pots are fired I will apply glaze. All clay, glazes and firings are included in the cost and all firings are done in the studio. We only work with Stoneware clay and huge selection of Stoneware glazes from Mayco including some of the new ones and Walkers to choose from and this means it can go in a dishwasher, microwave and oven, as it is fired to 1285 degrees. Total Cost $225 (gst included) Simply book in to secure your spot. Doors will be open 15 minutes prior to class starting. (Please be sure or your booking and that you are able to make all the classes as there are no make up classes and there are no refunds or credits. Thanks)

Cancellation Policy

Please be sure of your booking as our policy is no refunds and no credits. If your miss a class the only time to make this up will be on Saturday mornings at an extra cost.
